POLICIES AND PROCEDURES CHILDCARE OPERATIONS COVID-19 PANDEMIC

Sept. 2021

Dear Parents;

Kinderplace Childcare Centre provides services to children and families while adhering to all health and safety measures provided by local health authorities for our Infant, Toddler, Preschool and School-age programs.

You will  find the Policies and Procedures for Re-opening Childcare Centre’s provided by our local Thunder Bay District Health Unit, and the most recent Operational Guidance for Childcare During the COVID-19 Outbreak. These documents will be monitored, and changes will be maintained/revised through our website. New families will be asked to attest and agree to abide by all the policies and procedures prior to starting in our program. You will find the form that acknowledges that you have read the operational guidance document. Please sign the form and return it with your enrollment package.

Kinderplace Childcare Centre is a licensed Childcare facility that is regulated by the Ministry of Education and overseen by the Thunder Bay District Health Unit. Kinderplace will proceed to follow all protocols and procedures for daily screening which includes families showing proof that they have passed the school/childcare screen as well they will be asked to sanitize.

At this time, we will continue to meet families in the vestibule area to complete the screening and to ensure that social distancing measures are in place. Educators will bring your child/ren to their playroom and then out to families at the end of the day.

Thank-you for your patience during this unprecedented time.

Sincerely,

Brenda Sas

Executive Director
