Toddler

Toddlers are between the approximate ages of 18 months and 2½ years.  Educators observe children’s interests and then set up invitations and provocations based on their interests. We emphasize that our activities happen both inside and outside during all types of weather. The educators participate in weekly meetings to reflect upon their observations and the interests of the children to support their needs.

Parents/guardians will receive a verbal report of their child’s day which will detail your child(ren) sleep times and lunch intake as well as information on the activities that your child participated in, general well-being, and any other relevant information.

Sleep times and lunch intake will also be found posted on the whiteboard next to the program door.

Daily documentation reflecting activities that the Toddlers participated in is posted on the bulletin board located outside of the Toddler playroom door.

The ratio of children to staff in the toddler group is five (5) to one (1) during the main part of the day, inside and outside. When indoors, at arrival time up to 9:00 a.m., departure time after 4:40 p.m. and sleep time, the ratio can go to eight (8) to one (1) to allow for staff shift changes.

Kinderplace is licensed for ten (10) Toddler spaces.
